A heartful “island” comedy set in the Goto Islands comes out!
“Barakamon” means “energetic person” in the dialect of Goto Islands, Nagasaki Prefecture.
This heartful “island” comedy series is set in the Goto Islands, which is said to have the most beautiful sea in Japan. A solitary young calligrapher from the city, who has only relied on calligraphy, grows as a calligrapher as well as a person through the interaction with the people of the islands.
He is often confused by the unique lives and customs of the islands, and gets tangled up in various troubles, but with the islanders’ supports and encouragements, he grows up gradually and breaks new ground in calligraphy.

Michi Yoshino works in the sales department of a construction company and leads an ordinary life. She and her husband, Yoichi Yoshino, have been married for five years and still get along well, but there is only one thing lacking: sex.
They sleep in the same bed every night, but he never tries to approach her. With the advice of her junior colleague, she makes an effort to buy flashy underwear and takes care of her skin whilst feeling, “maybe I’m not attractive enough for him?” The results are always disappointing. She spends days and months without feeling her husband’s love. The couple’s relationship gradually becomes strained, as they are left with a vague anxiety…

This is the tumultuous story of the encounter and parting of Masa, a producer of all time who changed Japanese music history and still keeps on creating legends, and Ayu, who had become a top diva of Japan.

しかし、範子と再会したことによって、日常が綻び始める。その綻びは、静かに、やがて大きな音を立てて絶望的な破綻へと突き進んでいく。
